Ambassador Nevena Jovanović
CURRICULUM VITAE
Ambassador Nevena Jovanović was born on August 9, 1986 in Kragujevac, where she attended the First Kragujevac Gymnasium. Graduated from Faculty of Political Science, University of Belgrade, in the field of journalism and communication with an average of 9.30. During her studies she was a scholarship holder of the Young Talents Fund of the Republic of Serbia. Graduated from Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia joined in 2012.
In the period 2012-2013 worked in the Sector for the European Union/Department for Institutions of the European Union, and in the period 2013-2014 in the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In the period 2014-2018 worked as the Second Secretary in the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Serbia to the OSCE and other International Organizations in Vienna. In 2015 she was part of the Team of the Republic of Serbia engaged in the Serbian Chairmanship of the OSCE.
In the period 2018-2019 she was the First Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Sector for the European Union.
In the period 2019-2021 she was assigned to the Mission of the Republic of Serbia to the European Union in Brussels.
From January to June 2021 worked as Deputy Assistant Minister for Bilateral Cooperation in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the title of Minister-Counsellor.
On June 9, 2021 assumed her duty of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of North Macedionia, Skopje.
Speaks English and Spanish, active knowledge of German and French.
